Year 2011 book sales
As you know during the second half of last year, I decided to devote myself completely to writing books with a Japan focus. Here are my accomplishments:
- I published 17 books during that time. I must say that like any other writer, I had the first draft ready for many books, you know how authors keep writing and never get the courage to publish, so these books required less effort, but I also wrote a few books from scratch.
- While I am hoping to make a living from writing, I am definitely nowhere even close. You guys have been very supportive and 2011 was very encouraging. As you all buy more of my books and I get a lot more books out there — I have so many stories lined up to be told, it is just a matter of writing them down — I am confident that I will be able to support my family. While everyone fantasizes about getting rich, that is not something I am thinking at this time.
- I understand the difficult economy and tight budgets that you all have so I am pricing the books as low as I can go. Most of the books are just 99 cents and only a few are more than $4. A few are somewhere in between. With the commission and processing costs that I have to pay Amazon.com, I need to sell a lot of books, so please if you can, tell your friends and family members about my books.
