Japanese women tourists in Madrid
One of the big differences that I have seen between us and the Japanese is that while we dress comfortable when we travel, the Japanese dress up. Personally, I prefer a compromise. So no backpacks or fanny packs or sneakers for me, but I did buy a very comfortable pair of leather shoes in Spain several years ago that I continue to use during travel. They are dressy that I wouldn’t feel under-dressed going to a fine restaurant or shop but comfortable enough for me to walk around and not get blisters. I like fitted jeans and while I may put on a casual shirt, I carry a jacket with me so that I can put it on just for that dressy look. Now, the Japanese get their designer outfits out and this group of young women posed for their photographs in front of the Palacio Real de Madrid.
